We were honored to be recognized at the Portsmouth State of the City event as a proud Portsmouth business celebrating 75 years of service, innovation, and growth.

A highlight of the day was seeing our story come to life in a video interview with President Kenny Crofton reflecting on our history, our people, and the city we’ve proudly called home for almost 40 years.

Bob Crofton Awarded Associate Membership to the Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice Alumni Association

We are proud to share that Bob Crofton was recently awarded an Associate Membership to the Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice Alumni Association—a rare and meaningful honor that reflects his unwavering commitment to the shipbuilding industry and the Apprentice Alumni community.
 
While Bob is not a graduate of the Apprentice School, his decades of support have left a lasting impact. This recognition grants Bob lifetime membership as an Associate Apprentice Alumni, acknowledging his dedication to the trades, the region, and the legacy of maritime excellence.
 
From starting as a young diver in the family business to leading major marine construction and crane projects, Bob’s 50-year career exemplifies what it means to serve with Integrity, Relationships, Safety, and Excellence—CROFTON’s core values.
