CROFTON had the honor of attending the ribbon-cutting celebration for Blue Heron Landing Park in Chesapeake, VA, joined by Mayor Rick West.

This project, featuring an elevated boardwalk, a living shoreline, oyster castle sill, and an ADA-accessible floating kayak launch, has been a true labor of love for our team. It’s a privilege to see our work come to life and contribute to a sustainable, inclusive space for the community to enjoy.

What an incredible day at the Maritime Careers Festival at The Mariners’ Museum and Park on October 19! It was fantastic to connect with so many aspiring maritime professionals and curious minds eager to learn about the opportunities in our industry.

From interactive exhibits to hands-on activities, the event was filled with excitement, knowledge-sharing, and inspiration for the next generation of maritime talent. A huge thanks to everyone who stopped by and to the organizers—The Propeller Clubs, Port of Norfolk and Port of Newport News—for putting together such a fantastic event!
