Another great year at Clean Currents!

Our team was in Phoenix last week exhibiting at the National Hydropower Association’s Clean Currents conference, connecting with professionals from across the water-power industry and sharing more about the marine construction and diving capabilities we bring to complex waterfront projects.

We were glad to welcome students from Old Dominion University School of Supply Chain, Logistics, & Maritime Operations to CROFTON as part of ODU Maritime Appreciation Week.

Our team gave students a closer look at the supply chain and logistics side of our work, including how we procure construction materials and our involvement with breakbulk cargo.

We appreciate the opportunity to give the next generation of supply chain and maritime professionals a real-world look at how these pieces come together.

Thank you to ODU and the Virginia Maritime Association for including CROFTON in Maritime Appreciation Week, and to the students for the great questions and conversation.

CROFTON was proud to be part of The Port of Virginia’s 2026 Mid-Atlantic Public Safety Dive Conference, where our team presented “Beyond Public Safety Diving: When the Mission Requires Commercial Diving Capabilities.”

The conference began 12 years ago as an opportunity to bring regional public safety divers together to exchange knowledge, strengthen skills, and build relationships. Since then, it has grown into a much larger gathering, with eight hands-on pre-conference courses, more than 150 registered public safety attendees, and 24 vendors and industry partners from across the country.

Most importantly, lessons learned in this conference ultimately make divers safer and teams more capable.

CROFTON was honored to share our perspective, and we’re proud to be part of a community that continues to learn, share, and raise the bar for safety.

 

CROFTON was proud to sponsor and participate in the Third Annual Maritime Career Festival at The Mariners’ Museum and Park, organized by The Propeller Club, Port of Norfolk and The Propeller Club, Port of Newport News. This event connects with families and gives kids a chance to learn about the careers that make our maritime industry possible.

Our team brought dive equipment and a crane for kids to explore. We loved talking with the next generation about what it’s like to work in commercial diving, marine construction and the many other careers that keep our region’s maritime industry moving.
