A New Chapter for CROFTON: Kenny Crofton Takes the Helm

Kenny Crofton is now President of CROFTON. This transition follows the retirement of his siblings, who have been pivotal in the company’s success through their decades of dedicated service.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Camille, Jay, and Bob Crofton for their remarkable contributions. With Kenny Crofton continuing at the helm, CROFTON will maintain the same core values that have driven our success: Relationships, Integrity, Safety, and Excellence. Kenny’s transition to President ensures the company remains on a steady and familiar path, honoring the legacy of his family while ensuring CROFTON remains a trusted name in the industry.

Moving Nishimura-style no. 3746

CROFTON relocated the Nishimura 3746 at The Mariners’ Museum and Park so that museum staff can begin their conservation efforts. This 82-year-old, 20-ton, 35-foot-long Japanese midget submarine is one of only four ever built and is the only surviving example of its kind. We are so honored to have assisted with this project!

CROFTON’s Boating & Mooring Skills 101 Training Course

Last week, we completed our first cohort of participants in our Boating & Mooring Skills 101 training course. We covered everything from vessel knowledge to navigation, line handling and knot tying, safety procedures, and more.

Thank you to the CROFTON team members who lent their expertise to building the course content. Special thanks to Captain Mike Mahlmann for being our subject matter expert in each class; coming ready to share stories that illustrated our training topics and tools of the trade to make everyone more confident when they are working on the water.
