It was an honor to be part of a historic day at NIT as we celebrated The Port of Virginia’s Deepest, Widest Channel Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony.
CROFTON cranes proudly displayed the American and Virginia flags during this morning’s event, marking a milestone that will benefit our port and maritime community for generations to come.
Completed in late February, the dredging deepened the channel to 55 feet, making the Port of Virginia the deepest port on the East Coast. With the final depth verification now complete, this transformational investment will help accommodate larger vessels and strengthen the Port of Virginia’s role as a critical gateway for global commerce.
We’re proud to call this port home and grateful to play even a small part in celebrating its continued growth.
