CROFTON Celebrates Grand Opening of Nauticus Exhibit, “Our Port” – Featuring CROFTON’s First Female Diver

Last week, we had the pleasure of celebrating the grand opening of Nauticus’ new exhibit, “Our Port,” showcasing Virginia’s maritime heritage and the collaborative spirit that makes our port community truly exceptional.

Through this dynamic new experience, visitors can dive into the stories of the men and women who make our industry thrive. We’re especially proud to be part of this narrative through one of our own trailblazers: CROFTON’s first female diver, Aurora Castaneda! (Fun fact: Aurora is now one of two female divers at CROFTON.)

CROFTON Celebrates 75th Anniversary

What a day! Our 75th Anniversary Celebration was one for the history books! We kicked things off with a family friendly celebration filled with live music, kids’ entertainment, historical exhibits, and interactive displays. As the sun set, we transitioned to an unforgettable evening of dancing to the timeless tunes of the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

It was an unforgettable day filled with joy, reflection, and celebration. It’s been a remarkable journey, and we’re happy we got to celebrate this special occasion with those who have been part of our story.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to mark this special milestone. We are proud of how far we’ve come and excited about the future! Here’s to 75 years and beyond!

Celebrating the King Street Waterfront Ribbon-Cutting in Hampton

CROFTON had the privilege of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the City of Hampton’s King Street waterfront, alongside Mayor Donnie Tuck!

This meaningful project for our marine construction team focused on raising the bulkhead and enhancing the waterfront’s resilience against high tides. Key features of the project include 261 linear feet of replacement bulkhead, a 10-foot-wide wharf spanning 230 linear feet, and a 4-foot-wide wharf measuring 74 linear feet.

We are proud to provide top-tier marine construction solutions that enhance our community’s functionality and durability, ensuring this important part of Hampton stands strong for years to come.
