Our team recently completed a tandem lift to assemble a 132,000 lb. car crusher, using our Liebherr 1090 and Link-Belt ATC 3210 in perfect coordination.

Innovation in Action at HRUHCA Engineer’s Night
On June 11, CROFTON attended the Hampton Roads Utility & Heavy Contractors Association (HRUHCA) Engineer’s Night. It was an evening dedicated to innovation and collaboration.
As a proud sponsor and exhibitor, we valued the opportunity to engage with industry leaders and gain insight from Bruce Husselbee (HRSD) and Kyle Spencer (City of Norfolk) on critical infrastructure efforts—especially the Resilient Norfolk Coastal Storm Risk Management Project, a cornerstone initiative shaping the future of our region’s coastal resilience.

Strengthening the National Defense Talent Pipeline
On June 10, CROFTON attended the Virginia US Navy Talent Pipeline Program’s Signing Day Ceremony in Norfolk. We were proud to stand alongside 72 other defense employers from across Virginia and the Carolinas, united in one mission: strengthening the workforce behind our nation’s Defense Industrial Base.
This recognition highlights our continued commitment to collaboration and innovation in workforce development. With guidance from Talent Pipeline Program network coaches and through knowledge-sharing with fellow employers, we’re working to improve how we recruit, onboard, and retain top talent.
Special thanks to our HR Director, Amy Perry, who actively represents CROFTON in the program, sharing our hiring data and participating in regular meetings to keep these efforts moving forward.

CROFTON Celebrates Harborfest 2025
We had an incredible time at this year’s Harborfest! The Huntsman made a proud appearance in the Parade of Sails and turned heads during the Tug Muster, with Captain Mike at the helm and Wes on deck representing CROFTON with skill and spirit.
Over at the CROMO, our commercial diving team, Roger, Roland, and Steve, gave festivalgoers an inside look at the fascinating world of underwater work. From curious kids to seasoned mariners, we loved sharing what we do with the community.
