The CROFTON team recently executed the assembly, lift, and transport of a Manitowoc MLC300 crane that weighed 110-tons from our Harper Avenue yard in Portsmouth, VA.
This work is part of ongoing pier modifications to help our client increase their capacity. For this phase, which prepares for the erection of two tower cranes, we:
- Constructed the crane foundations and trestle
- Planned and coordinated the assembly, lift, transport, and placement of the MLC300
- Leveraged our industrial waterfront access and combined expertise in marine construction and crane rental & rigging
This carefully planned lift was executed using our crane, the “Samson,” with precision and teamwork every step of the way. A huge thank you to our team members for their skill and collaboration that made this complex project possible!
