Our first business directory website, Crofton.com, was launched April 1, 2002. The desperate need for a centralized location on the Internet for the businesses in the Crofton Maryland area was what led to the creation of the site. We believed that by placing all of the local businesses into one centralized location, we could bring tremendous value to the community and to the businesses themselves. It was important to us that we offer inexpensive advertising for the local businesses, provided small businesses with the opportunity to have a web presence, and to serve as a valuable source of information for the Crofton MD residents and visitors.

Although the site was first developed primarily for the businesses in Crofton MD, the site grew into the online business resource for all of West Anne Arundel County. We focused on creating a community site that was more that just a phone book online and were determined to give our visitors an incentive to return time and time again. We developed our website such that every participating business and organization would have the ability to login, using a unique username and password, and change the information on their pages, including coupons, as often as they wished. For those businesses with established corporate websites, we offered the added benefit of linking to their corporate site from within their business page in the Business Directory, thus driving more traffic to their corporate site.

In June of 2003, our second online community was launched for Pasadena MD and Severna Park MD - PasadenaMaryland.com, also known as SevernaParkMaryland.com. The site launched with approximately 30 participating businesses and has continued to grow ever since. The Pasadena Maryland - Severna Park Maryland site was developed for businesses in Northern Anne Arundel County.

In 2005, we began our greatest initiative, which was to launch the Annapolis MD AnnapolisMaryland.com, Glen Burnie MD GlenBurnie.com and Deale MD DealeMaryland.com Online Business Directories, and then have the Anne Arundel County Business Directory AnneArundel.com linked to all five of our Business Directory databases. The county site would allow visitors to perform countywide business searches.

On June 5th, 2006, the Anne Arundel County Business Directory AnneArundel.com was launched, followed by Annapolis Maryland AnnapolisMaryland.com, Glen Burine Maryland GlenBurnie.com and Deale Maryland DealeMaryland.com two days later.
 
Our advertising prices are drastically lower than any other form of advertising in the area including other online advertising options. For the cost of many "one shot" print advertisements, a business can afford to advertise for an entire year or two in one of our directories.
